Nature Speaks

The Lord has beautifully created the grass of the field, flowers of the garden, birds of the air, cattle of the land and the fish of the sea. They neither sow nor reap but the Lord makes sure that they are fed and taken care (Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them...  - Matthew 6:26). Nature declares His glory and praises Him always. Even King Solomon in all his splendour was not clothed like any of these (...and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these - Matthew 6:28).

Are we not more precious in the eyes of the Lord the Creator than the grass of the field and the birds of the air (... Of how much more value are you than the birds? Luke 12:24)? We are created in His own image (So God created man in His [own] image; in the image of God He created him... - Genesis 1:27) and the Lord has bestowed all His glory and honour on us (...  And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:5). If the Lord who takes care of each and every need of the grass of the field which is here today and thrown out in fire the next day, will He not take care of us in a more special way? God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son (For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16) as a perfect sacrifice and He gave His life as a ransom (who gave Himself a ransom for all... - I Timothy 2:6) on the cross for each and every individual. Is this love not very valuable and precious? When we have a creator who loves us so much and takes care of each and every need, there is no point in worrying about how to face our day to day affairs. He says I’ll go before you and make all crooked places straight (I will go before you and make the crooked places straight - Isaiah 45:2) and He is also ready to give rest to all those who are burden and heavy (Come to Me, all [you] who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest - Matthew 11:28). But we often tend to forfeit His call and go behind all material matters of this world and loose on the heavenly guidance that He has for us.

We are not ready to download all our burdens on Him, instead we make sure that we carry our burden and needless pain on our shoulders and remain downcast sitting in the corner of the house, cursing each and every one possible for the troubles we face. We even fail to find a single reason to praise and thank the Lord, but look on the nature they declare His glory and praise Him always.

Whenever depressed and downcast I feel the grass of the field and the flowers in the garden questioning me hammer and tongs, when you are created in His image what makes you upset and worried?  Don't you know that you are more precious to Him? What are you going to gain by sitting worried and depressed (Which of you by worrying can gain one cubit to his stature? Matthew 6:27)? Don't you understand that He has the solution for all your problems? This very thought rejuvenates me and rekindles my faith and makes me sing songs of praises to Him.

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to thee
How great thou art, how great thou art
