We live in a world of uncertainties. Life provides its own twist and turns every moment. Economic recession, political turmoil and natural disasters strike us without any warning. People toil round the clock to secure their future by going behind men, money, power and material possessions but the irony is they are not trustworthy and reliable. Men may fail at any moment, money will lose its value in a split second, power will come to nothing as tables may turn over any moment and material possessions will depreciate and lose its value. What to do? Whom to trust? Who will come to my rescue in times of need? The qualms keep mounting on.
The answer to all the above fears is very simple just put all your trust and hopes on Lord Jesus and He will take care of everything. What makes Him so special that one should trust Him in all circumstances? The Bible says He never drives away anyone who comes to Him (and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. - John 6:37). People around may despise and leave you deserted when you face failure in life or when you are in dire need but He will not despise a broken heart (A broken and a contrite heart - These, O God, You will not despise. – Psalm 51:7). People may rub a cold shoulder when you are caught in quagmire, they may even act in an indifferent manner when you do not live up to their expectations but The Bible says very clearly He is unchanging (For I am the LORD, I do not change – Malachi 3:6) and He is same yesterday, today and forever (Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8) and He is the everlasting strength (for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength - Isaiah 26:4). The above qualities make Him The Perfect one to be trusted in all circumstances.
No matter what the situation is, He is not going to leave you deserted. He is an ever present help in times of need (God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. - Psalm 46:1). So whatever may be the situation you need not fear (Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea – Psalm 46:2). He never stands out as an alien in every trouble of yours; instead He is also afflicted along with you (In all their affliction he was afflicted – Isaiah 63:9). You do not have someone who cannot sympathize with you in our weakness instead He in every aspect went through each and every one of your life’s circumstances and He is always ready to help those who call upon Him (For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need – Hebrews 4:15, 16). Even when nature in all its fury comes on you, He is there to keep you in perfect peace (For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. – Isaiah 54:10). He never puts to shame the one whose trust is on Him. He is always ready to help those whose hope is in Him and who call on Him in times of need (I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. – Psalm 118:5, Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee - Psalm 81-7). Whatever may be the situation He keeps in perfect peace those whose hope is in Him (Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. - Isaiah 26:3). When there is someone who is ever ready to help in times of trouble and keep you in peace at all circumstances why go behind something or someone that may desert you at any moment?
The Bible show cases the life of many people who trusted Him in all situations and He was their ever present help in times of need. They stand as a living examples for everyone to follow their footsteps. When everything was against Daniel, The Lord was there to help and rescue him out of the lion’s den (My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me – Daniel 6:22). When nature, people and circumstances were against Moses the Lord was there to help him by dividing the Red Sea and making way for the Israelites (The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. – Exodus 14:14-16). When the apostles were put in prison by the high priest, no one was there to rescue them but the Lord sent an angel for their rescue (But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth – Acts 5:19). The list continues with each and every character in the Bible. It’s always safe and secure to put the trust on someone who is ever ready to help in times of need. So trust Him (It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes - Psalm 118:8, 9) in all circumstances and He is the ever present help in times of need.
I just keep trusting the Lord as I walk along
I just keep trusting the Lord and He gives me a song
Though the storm clouds darken the sky
Oér the heavenly trail
I just keep trusting my Lord He will never fail!!!
I just keep trusting the Lord and He gives me a song
Though the storm clouds darken the sky
Oér the heavenly trail
I just keep trusting my Lord He will never fail!!!
